Tooth whitening or Tooth bleaching techniques make use of bleaching products with a peroxide basis. Carbamide or hydrogen peroxides, ranging in concentration from 3% to 20%, are used in at-home systems. Office systems range in peroxide content from 15% to 43%.
In general, your teeth get whiter the longer you leave a stronger solution on them. However, the length of time the teeth should be exposed to the whitening solution depends on how much peroxide is included in it. Longer gel application can dry out the tooth and enhance sensitivity.
Tooth Whitening at Shreya Hospital
Our dentist can whiten our teeth to make them brighter more quickly. Compared to DIY kits, the bleaching solution is often more harsher. Additionally, the whitening process may be accelerated and intensified using heat, light, or a combination of the two.
To get the most dramatic results, which usually include teeth that are three to eight hues brighter, it sometimes takes many 30- to 60-minute in-office visits. One 2-hour session can be completed by certain of our dentists’ procedures (like the Zoom system).
Maintaining White Teeth
If our dentists at Shreya Hospital have bleached your teeth, you can help preserve the effects by brushing, flossing, and rinsing every day. Additionally, stay away from acidic and tannic meals and drinks like:
- Coffee and black tea.
- Red and white wine.
- Sports beverages.
- Carbonated drinks (sodas in both bright and dark hues).
- Berries and other meals with vibrant colours.
- (Soy, tomato, and curry) Sauces.
